Directed and presented by José Álvaro Moisés, the first edition of 'A Qualidade da Democracia em Questão' has interviewed the Portuguese political scientist António Costa Pinto.

On November 18, IEA’s Quality of Democracy Research Group, together with USP’s Center for Public Policy Research (NUPPs) and the blog Qualidade da Democracia, debuted the talk show 'A Qualidade da Democracia em Questão'.

Produced in partnership with Uversita – Universidade Aberta (Open University) for live streaming via the web, the program is directed and presented by José Álvaro Moisés, professor of the Department of Political Science at USP’s Faculty of Philosophy, Letters and Human Sciences (FFLCH), scientific director of NUPPs and coordinator of the research group.

The interviewee of the program’s first edition was the Portuguese political scientist António Costa Pinto, professor at the Institute of Social Sciences of the University of Lisbon and director of the Barometer of Quality of Democracy in Southern Europe. On his trip to Brazil, the researcher also held the conference ‘Quality of Democracy in South Eastern Europe’ on November 22.
