Tensions between public and private in the digital age
Politics and Communication: the Public/Private Dichotomy in the Age of Digital Culture is the topic of the debate that will take place on October 2, at 3 pm (GMT-3), featuring Massimo Canevacci, Bernardo Sorj, Gilson Schwartz and Sérgio Amadeu.
The reaction to the use of chemical weapons in Syria
Organized in partnership with USP's Institute of International Relations (IRI), the debate has dealt with two issues: 1) can political actions resolve international conflicts? 2) can ethics remain indifferent to the use of chemical weapons?
The ways to access justice in Brazil
Seminar on October 3, at 9.30 am (GMT-3), will discuss the changes in access to justice in Brazil, the roles of the Public Defender and the Public Ministry, the culture of punishment and the judicialization of public policy.

Meeting in Chile will renew the Chair Bernardo O'Higgins
On October 3, Martin Grossmann, director of the IEA, and professor Maria Helena Rolim Capelato, will meet with the rector of the Universidad de La Frontera (UFRO) in Temuco, Chile, to renew the agreement of the Chair Bernardo O'Higgins.
