REPORT

A reflection on the far-right ideology of the past and nowadays

The theoretical discussion about fascism, the pacific but life-threatening resistance to Nazism in Germany during World War II and the ideals of far-right parties and right-wing populism that have emerged in the last decades, especially in Europe, were discussed on November 8, in a seminar with the participation of political scientists and specialists in German studies. Organized by IEA's Quality of Democracy Research Group and the Martius Chair for German and European Studies, "Memory, Democracy and Resistance: Reflections on Nazifascism in Germany" recalled the 80th anniversary of the "Kristallnacht" (Crystal Night), November 9-10, 1938.
