Antonio José da Costa Filho
A full professor at USP in Ribeirão Preto, Professor Costa Filho's research area involves investigating the interactions between biomolecules, emphasizing the relationship between proteins and their ligands. He is also interested in projects that seek to identify how pharmacological compounds affect the organization of models for the cell membrane. He is an affiliated member of the Brazilian Academy of Sciences (ABC) and of The World Academy of Sciences (TWAS). He is a researcher of the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq), also being a full member of its Advisory Committee on Biophysics, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, and Neurosciences. He currently coordinates the Graduate Program in Physics Applied to Medicine and Biology at USP. He is also vice president of the Brazilian Society of Biophysics (SBBf). |
