José Teixeira Coelho Netto
José Teixeira Coelho Netto is Professor Emeritus from the School of Communications and Arts, University of São Paulo; coordinator of a study group at the Institute of Advanced Studies, University of São Paulo; coordinator of a Graduate Program on Cultural Policies at the Observatório Itaú Cultural. Formerly director of the Information and Culture Department, School of Communications and Arts, University of São Paulo; director of the MAC USP – Museum of Contemporary Art, University of São Paulo; chief curator of MASP – Sao Paulo Art Museum, among others. He has written extensively on art and culture and is a novelist as well (Portugal Telecom Award for his novel A Natural History of Dictatorship). Fellowship awards: Fulbright Foundation, Rockefeller Foundation, Goethe Institute, Literarisches Colloquium Berlin, FAPESP, CAPES. He has been invited worldwide (Americas, Europe, China, Japan) and cooperated with UNESCO, ONU, International Association Art without Boundaries. |
