José Roberto Castilho Piqueira
He holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from USP's School of Engineering (EESC) at the São Carlos campus (1974), a Master's degree in the same field and also from EESC (1983), and a PhD (1987) from USP's Polytechnic School (POLI), where he also obtained a degree in Control and Automation (1997). He is currently a full professor (1999) and the director of POLI. Piqueira has 84 indexed articles in the Web of Science (2 editorials, 69 in journals, 13 in congresses, h = 10). He has oriented 18 PhD projects and supervised 5 postdoctoral fellowships. He is a member of the editorial board of the Journal of Control, Automation and Electrical Systems (Springer). He is a member of the National Institute of Science and Technology / Complex Systems, of the Superior Councils of the Energy and Nuclear Research Institute (IPEN), and of the Brazilian Society of Automation (SBA). He has experience in Electrical and Biomedical Engineering, with emphasis in General Theory of Electrical Circuits, working mainly in the following subjects: dynamics, bifurcation, synchronism, chaos and mathematical models. |
