Lucia Maciel Barbosa de Oliveira

Professor and researcher at the Department of Information and Culture of USP's School of Communications and Arts, and of the Graduation Programme in Information Science. She holds a PhD in Information Science, specifically Information and Culture, having Action and Cultural Mediation as her research field. She is a master in Communication Sciences, graduated in History and holds a degree in History from the School of Education. Her interests are related to cultural action and policy. Author of Corpos Indisciplinados: ação cultural em tempos de biopolítica ('Undisciplined Bodies: cultural action in biopolitics times'), Nossos comerciais, por favor! A Escola Superior de Guerra e a televisão brasileira ('Our commercials, please! The High Education of War and Brazilian television') and Biblioteca escolar e circuitos culturais ('School library and cultural circuits'). She develops the projects 'Culture and City Platform: Contemporary Cultural Dynamics' and 'Which are the cultural policies for the 21st century?'
