Adriano Pedrosa
Adriano Pedrosa is the artistic director of MASP since 2014, being responsible for bringing back the crystal easels of Lina Bo Bardi to exhibit the permanent collection of the museum. With a degree in law from UERJ and an extensive postgraduate degree in visual arts and curatorship, he has international curatorial experiences in the United States, Canada and Mexico. He was the curator of the 24th São Paulo Biennale in 1998, designed and performed by Paulo Herkenhoff. In this edition he was also editor of the publications. He acted as co-curator in the 27th edition of this same biennale, led by Lisette Lagnado (2006). He was the curator of numerous exhibitions such as the 12th Mostra de Gravuras in Curitiba and exhibitions at the Pampulha Art Museum (MAP), where he was the chief curator between 2001 and 2003, implementing the Pampulha Scholarship, an innovative project that replaces the Hall of Art, organized by the institution since its foundation. He was the curator of the InSIte_2005 (San Diego Museum of Art and Centro Cultural Tijuana, 2005) and more recently (2014), along with Lilia Schwartz, the curator of the exhibition Histórias Mestiças at the Tomie Ohtake Institute in São Paulo. |
