Much of his current research focuses on efforts to increase transparency in science, enhance the effectiveness of the open science movement, and promote better science communication. Elliott has been actively involved in the Philosophy of Science Association, both as the Program Chair for the association’s 2018 biennial meeting and as an Associate Editor for the society’s journal, Philosophy of Science. He has also served as a member of the National Academy of Sciences Committee on Guidance on PFAS Testing and Health Outcomes, the National Academy of Sciences Committee on Emerging Science for Environmental Health Decisions, and the Advisory Committee for the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences.
