She hods a PhD in Earth Sciences by the Free University of Brussels (1994) and the Habilitation a Diriger des Researches from University Pierre e Marie Curie (2007). She is a Research Director at LSCE (Laboratoire des Sciences du Climat e de l’Environnement), Gif-sur-Yvette (France) focusing on “Modelling the Earth’s Response to Multiple Anthropogenic interactions and Dynamics”. She was a lead scientist in major EU funded large-scale projects tarteting the marine carbon cycle and ocean acidification. Her research focuses on understanding and predicting changes in marine biogeochemical cycles and ecosystems in response to climate change and acidification.
