Otaviano Canuto

Graduated in Economic Sciences from the Federal University of Sergipe (1976,) he holds a Master's degree in Economics from Concordia University (1981) and a Ph.D. in Economic Science from the State University of Campinas (1991). He was Executive Director at the World Bank between 2004 and 2007, then Executive Director of its Managing Board in 2015 and 2016. Canuto was a Ph.D. professor at FEA-USP (2003-2008). He has experience in Economics, with emphasis on International Economics, working mainly on the following topics: international financial architecture, economic development and emerging economies. |
