Director of the IEA-USP gives conference in Costa Rica on the importance of museums

On February 19, Martin Grossmann talked about the relations between museums, local contexts and the public sphere at a conference at Fundación Teorética, Costa Rica.

The relevance of art museums in urban contexts, especially in creating and maintaining a culture of creativity and collaboration in the public sphere, was addressed by Martin Grossmann, director of the IEA-USP, in the conference Museo Ahora: Reconfiguraciones del Museo de Arte, Contextos Locales y Esfera Pública, given on February 19 at Fundación TEOR/éTica, Costa Rica.

During his stay in the country, Grossman, who has been researching the relations between contemporary art and art institutions, particularly museums, for nearly 30 years, has also been invited to speak to the press on the conference's theme. On the 19th, he gave an interview to the journal Áncora, of the local newspaper La Nación. On the 20th, he will give another interview to RedCultura.
