USP celebrates 80 years of its foundation

USP celebrated the 80th anniversary of its creation on January 25. Currently, the university offers 246 undergraduate courses and 225 graduate programs with 319  master's degree courses and 308 for PhD in all areas of knowledge, plus more than 900 university extension courses. Former rector José Goldemberg was named president of the Coordinating Committee for the Commemoration of USP's 80th Anniversary.

Sorj develops the project "The Middle East Conflict: Scope and Limits of Brazil's Foreign Policy" at the institute.

Seminar Examines Barriers to Effective Democratization of the Right to Healthcare

The "10th International Seminar on Public Health Law: the Democratization of the Right to Healthcare" was organized in December. The seminar was part of the project Right to Healthcare and the Democratization of Public Health: Bridges to Citizenship, bringing together professors and researchers from various USP units to investigate and analyze ways to ensure the right to healthcare in countries with significant levels of economic growth.
