Luis Enrique Sánchez
Luis Enrique Sánchez is a full professor at the University of São Paulo's Polytechnic School (EP). He holds a bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering and in Geography, both from USP, and a PhD in Natural Resource Economics from the Mines ParisTech. He has been a visiting professor at the University of Montreal, and a visiting researcher at Murdoch University and the University of Queensland. He works in teaching, research, and extension in the areas of environmental planning and management, particularly in the assessment of environmental and social impacts. He is an active member, and former director and president of the International Association for Impact Assessment (IAIA). He is the author of several academic articles, good practice guides, and the book Avaliação de Impacto Ambiental. Conceitos e Métodos ("Environmental Impact Assessment.
