Susilene Elias de Melo

Susilene Elias de Melo belongs to the third generation of women leaders of the Kaingang Culture. Manager and curator of the Worikg Museum. She is a shaman's assistant (Kujã in the Kaingang language), artisan and leads the Kaingang cultural group of the T.I. Vanuíre. Curator of the exhibition "Resistance Now! Strengthening and union of indigenous cultures - Kaingang, Guarani Nhandewa and Terena" at the Museum of Archeology and Ethnology (MAE) at USP. She took the course "Museology for Indigenous People" in 2017. She participates annually in the Paulista Meeting for Indigenous Issues and Museums, the Tupã Indian Week and the Tupã Week in Commemoration of the International Day of Indigenous Peoples, among other actions of the India Vanuíre Museum. |
